I'm a descendant of Mary Wheelhouse 1871 died age 101 and buried in Barlborough. I would love to know if she had a headstone. She must have been an incredible woman. She gave birth to a son George Augustus Wheelhouse at the age of 50! She was about thirty something years in the hospital (Almshouse) in Barlborough. Also I hope that there was a photograph at of her. I hope to visit the Heritage Center one day (I live in Canada).

The place to go in Barlborough for family research and an exemplary village museum which displays all aspects of local history with the aim to make everything in it accessible to local and foreign visitors, groups and individuals. Don't miss out your chance to have a look around and don't hesitate to ask the knowledgeable and helpful staff for support.
